Job summary

BayMark Health Services,MedMark Treatment Centers, is seeking a compassionate Substance Abuse Counselor to guide patients through medication-assisted treatments and coping strategies for opioid addiction. You will conduct individual and group sessions, assess progress, and collaborate with physicians, nurses, and colleagues to optimize patient outcomes.

The role requires valid licensure in LSAA/LADAC/LMHC/LMSW/LPCC/LCSW or LMFT and a satisfactory background check.

Qualifications

• Must be licensed/credentialed in LSAA/LADAC/LMHC/LMSW/LPCC/LCSW or LMFT.
• Satisfactory criminal background check and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and group counseling services; schedule direct service hours; coordinate services throughout treatment.
• Ensure efficient and effective delivery of counseling services to all patients.
• Conduct initial assessments and eligibility interviews.
• Complete Bio-psychosocial assessments.
• Respond to patient grievances and complaints.
• Develop aftercare and discharge plans.
• Perform other duties as determined by supervisor.

Compassionate Substance Abuse Counselor Needed!

Position Overview

Substance abuse counselor will be in charge with assisting patients through medically assisting treatments and offering techniques for handling opioid addiction. Counselor conducts individual sessions and group sessions to assist with crisis management and coping strategies. Counselor will evaluate patients’ progress during counseling and collaborate with doctors, nurses and other counselors to assist the patients’ achieving overall outcome.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and group counseling services; direct service hours at regularly scheduled intervals; coordinate all services throughout treatment
• Ensure efficient and effective delivery of counseling services to all patients
• Conducts individual initial assessment and evaluation interviews for service eligibility determination
• Completes Bio-psychosocial assessment.
• Respond, as needed, to patient grievances and complaints
• Develop aftercare plans and discharge plans
• Other related duties as determined by supervisor
