Pay rate $17.69 - $20.00/per hour, depending on experienceCenturion is proud to be the provider of comprehensive healthcare services to the Indiana Department of Correction.We are seeking a Substance Abuse Clerk for a full-time position at Indiana State Prison in Michigan City, Indiana.The Substance Abuse Clerk is responsible for scheduling appointments as well as the routine processing of documents of the substance abuse program within a state correctional facility, including accurately creating, organizing, scanning, faxing, and/or filing documents to facilitate retrieval, review, and processing.Essential Duties:• Reviewing all documents/transactions for correctness and completeness• Taking any necessary action to appropriately address any problems, errors, or deficiencies• Maintaining calendars and scheduling appointments, meetings, and conferences• High school diploma or GED equivalent required• One (1) year of medical records/medical office experience preferred• Must be appropriately and actively certified in Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)• Medical terminology knowledge and/or medical terminology course completion preferred• Computer/Data Entry experience preferred• Ability to obtain a security clearance, to include drug screen and criminal background checkAvailable Shift: full-time days, Monday-FridayEmployees working 30+ hours per week have access to benefits, including:Health, dental, vision, disability and life insurance401(k) planGenerous paid time off + paid holidaysEmployee Assistance ProgramCenturion is the provider of healthcare services for the Indiana DOC.
