Job summary

BlueCross BlueShield of South Carolina is seeking a Specialist, Subrogation to identify and pursue recoveries. The role handles a workload of about 500 cases and targets roughly $1,000,000 in annual collections. The position is on-site at Columbia, SC.

You will analyze laws and contract language, review claims, and negotiate settlements with attorneys and carriers, under supervision. A high school diploma is required and sponsorship is not available.

Qualifications

• Analyzes laws, regulations and contract language concerning subrogation recoveries.
• Reviews claims history to determine lien amounts and asserts liens.
• Negotiates with attorneys, liability carriers, and members for final settlements.

Responsibilities

• Analyze subrogation laws and ERISA doctrine under supervision.
• Determine lien amounts and pursue recoveries across about 500 cases.
• Maintain prompt, accurate responses to inquiries and protect confidential information.
