Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Four (4) years related experience, preferably in Legal, Operations or Retail banking.
• Paralegal certificate or two years' experience working in a law firm preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent and demonstrated attention to detail.
• Deadline oriented.
• Knowledge of the court system.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Strong PC skills, and knowledge of Excel, Word and Access are required.
• Multitasking ability to plan and prioritize subpoena requests.
• Knowledge of Vector4, RAFT, Mobius, and Document Direct preferred.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and interpret legal language within subpoena to determine scope, jurisdiction, timeframe and due date.
• Review subpoenas for risk or liability and elevate when needed.
• Process high profile subpoenas related to AML, Terrorist, criminal, Grand Jury and Federal requests.
• Identify and respond to Federal Subpoenas in compliance with the Right To Financial Privacy Act.
• Ensure compliance with Federal and State regulations and statutes.
• Communicate with Attorneys, Agencies and Law Enforcement to negotiate scope and provide updates.
• Coordinate with internal and external counsel to assist with third party subpoenas.
• Provide expedited support to legal counsel by locating responsive documents.
• Research and coordinate court appearance subpoenas to determine documents and personnel needed.
• Ensure confidentiality of information to mitigate risk.
• Maintain organization, storage, integrity and shipment of records to meet court deadlines.
• Organize workflow to minimize risk of missed deadlines or court appearances.
• Obtain documentation from various lines of business as needed for subpoenas.
• Record all communications and transactions regarding subpoenas in the Legal Database.
• Prepare and send invoices for copies and research time and notify about fees.
