Job summary

General Dynamics Electric Boat in Middletown, RI, seeks engineers of all levels to join the Simulation/Stimulation (Sim/Stim) Software Engineering team at the Newport Engineering Office. You will work with a diverse team on a major project delivering software and hardware solutions for US Navy submarines in a Linux/Agile environment.

The role involves full lifecycle support, including development, testing, documentation, and customer interaction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Engineering.
• 5+ years of post graduate professional engineering experience.
• Experience working a Linux environment.
• Proficiency in C++ or Java.
• Ability to travel to customer sites as needed.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance through the DoD.

Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and maintain software for Sim/Stim products used on submarines.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver quality software and hardware configurations.
• Document test procedures, results, and technical manuals; support product lifecycle from development to deployment.
• Interface with customers and end users as needed to gather requirements and provide solutions.
