Job summary

Decision Technologies, Inc. in Virginia Beach is seeking a qualified BPS Submarine Radar Repair Technician to join our team. You will troubleshoot, repair, and test AN/BPS-15 and AN/BPS-16 radar systems, supporting system- and component-level work on shipboard, airborne, and ground-based platforms.

A current SECRET clearance is required. The role offers hands-on repair, upgrades, SOP development, and documentation in a collaborative environment with opportunities for field assignments.

Qualifications

• Hands-on maintenance and troubleshooting of military radar systems.
• Ability to interpret electrical schematics, drawings and manuals.
• Experience diagnosing to component or LRU level.
• Soldering multipin copper connectors and fiber optic terminations.
• Familiar with OSHA safety standards and PPE usage.
• Strong written/verbal communication and repair documentation.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and basic computer use.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair and test AN/BPS-15/AN/BPS-16 radar systems at system/subsystem/LRU level.
• Plan and execute radar upgrades and configuration changes.
• Perform and document System Operational Verification Tests after repairs.
• Maintain EDMs for radar testing and field changes.
• Disassemble and reassemble Antenna Pedestal assemblies and gearboxes.
• Build cables with multipin connectors and fiber terminations.
• Develop SOPs from engineering drawings and specifications.
