Job summary

ORBIS Inc. in Dover, NH seeks an Engineering Technician to support administration, program management, engineering, and logistics for submarine maintenance and modernization.

The role involves reviewing technical work documents from NAVSEA related to SUBMEPP availability work packages, performing analyses, and drafting and validating maintenance documentation. The ideal candidate will have a mechanical engineering background, strong analytical and communication skills, and the ability to work

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• BS in Mechanical Engineering preferred; may substitute for experience.
• Active DoD Secret security clearance is required.

Responsibilities

• Review Engineering and technical documentation to determine compliance with engineering standards, technical accuracy, and adequacy in relation to functional, operational, and technical requirements.
• Perform engineering analysis, reviews, studies and provide recommendations related to maintenance standards for submarine systems, subsystems, equipment maintenance.
• Review, analyze, maintain, draft, validate changes to technical submarine maintenance documentation.
• Perform Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) analysis on maintenance requirements to ensure safety, reliability, and cost effectiveness.
• Collaborate with the customer and organizations to provide in-depth research and data analysis for improved engineering documentation and feedback.
• Provide administrative functions for program efforts in meetings and history files.
