Job summary

General Dynamics Electric Boat is seeking Module Leads for SSBN 826 construction in Groton. You will act as the primary technical point of contact for a module, coordinating with trades and engineering to keep the build on schedule.

Responsibilities include providing engineering oversight, guiding change management, and supporting certification events. The role offers exposure to first-of-class builds and cross-disciplinary collaboration within a shipyard environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering is required.
• 0–5 years post-graduate experience.
• Ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance.
• Preferred: Teamcenter knowledge and Columbia Class design.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering oversight for emergent shipyard issues and communicate assessments to Shipyard/Trade teams.
• Support trades daily and help navigate disclosures and work packages.
• Prioritize drawing revisions and change notices with engineering teams.
• Attend production meetings and drive actions like work package development and material procurement.
• Communicate project risks and discuss emerging issues to integrate engineering with the shipyard.
• Conduct multidisciplinary engineering evaluations to support manufacturing and construction.
• Support testing and government certification activities.
