Job summary

GoldPointe Academy is seeking knowledgeable, responsible instructors to join our academic teaching team. Instructors provide high-quality, subject-specific instruction aligned with each student’s curriculum and learning goals, while strengthening foundational knowledge for advanced coursework.

Candidates should have a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, strong subject command, excellent communication, and effective classroom management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Education, English, History, Mathematics, or Science.
• Strong command of the subject(s) taught.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to explain complex concepts clearly, patiently, and effectively.
• Strong classroom management and interpersonal skills.
• A student-centered, organized approach.
• Ability to adapt instruction to different learning levels and styles.
• Ability to work with students from diverse backgrounds.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, subject-specific instruction to elementary, middle school, and/or high school students.
• Align instruction with curriculum, student level, and learning goals.
• Strengthen foundational knowledge while guiding toward honors, AP, IB, or advanced coursework when appropriate.
• Support students with homework, quizzes, tests, essays, and research projects.
• Teach academic writing, critical reading, analytical thinking, and problem-solving strategies.
• Identify strengths, weaknesses, and learning gaps; develop growth opportunities.
• Develop individualized learning plans and measurable goals.
• Assign and review homework and practice materials.
• Track attendance, lesson content, and progress accurately.
• Provide constructive feedback to students, parents, and the academic team.
• Communicate with coordinators and counselors regarding student development.
