Bechtel Corporation is hiring for the Subcontract Professional role. Requisition ID: 289855. Relocation Authorized: National/International - Family. Telework Type: Full-Time Office/Project. Work Location: Kemmerer, WY.

Bechtel is an engineering, procurement, and construction company with a long history of delivering large-scale projects worldwide. This role participates in subcontract formation and administration to ensure subcontract compliance with project requirements.

Job Summary

In this role, you will participate in subcontract formation and/or administration. Subcontract formation includes leading preparation and review of bid request packages and developing project contracts operating procedures. Subcontract administration includes continual progress review, forecasting, and communication of difficulties.

Your work will support subcontract compliance with project requirements.

Major Responsibilities

• Implements the Supply Chain Assignment Schedule which records the Project’s agreed assignment of various subcontract management tasks and the Standard Work Process Procedures applicable to Subcontract Management
• Manages assigned subcontracts maintaining a continual review of progress and providing management with information regarding projected financial or technical difficulties
• Coordinates with designated staff on operational activities affecting contractual rights and obligations, subcontract performance, and other major matters
• Manage moderately complex contract changes by negotiating with customer personnel and obtaining settlement
• Implement the Division Responsibilities Matrix which records the Project’s agreed assignment of various subcontract management tasks and the Standard Work Process Procedures applicable to Subcontract Administration
• Coordinates with designated staff on operational activities affecting contractual rights and obligations, subcontract performance, subcontract administration and other major matters
• Prepares periodic status reports for management
• Other subcontract administration duties as required

Education And Experience Requirements

• Requires bachelor\'s degree (or international equivalent) and 8-10 years of relevant experience or 12-14 years of relevant work experience

Required Knowledge And Skills

• Working knowledge of engineering/construction industry contracting practices and Bechtel policies, procedures and work practices
• Demonstrated oral and written communication skills
• Experience in managing various contract types, fee arrangements and contract terms
• Experience in developing and recommending potential solutions to contractual problems to management
