Hodges Subaru in Ferndale, MI is seeking an automotive technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain vehicles to dealership standards. You will collaborate with the service team to ensure accurate estimates and timely service completion.

The role emphasizes working with diagnostic tools, adhering to warranty guidelines, and delivering quality customer service in a busy dealership environment.

Qualifications

• ASE certifications are preferred.
• State of Michigan certifications required.
• Strong automotive background and diagnostics ability.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced dealership environment.
• Willing to pass drug screen and background check.

Responsibilities

• Perform repair work on vehicles as per the service repair order.
• Test-drive vehicles and diagnose components using diagnostic tools.
• Repair and maintain vehicle systems (engine, transmission, brakes, A/C, etc.).
• Communicate with Service Advisor about needed additional work and timelines.
• Perform warranty work to manufacturer specifications.

Responsibilities

• Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership
• Test-drive vehicles, and test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment
• Diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.
• Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so that customers can be informed if any additional service is needed. Providing an estimate of time needed for additional repairs
• Executing repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications

Qualifications
