Job summary

Harnish Auto Family is seeking a skilled Flat-Rate Automotive Technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain vehicles in a fast-paced dealership setting. The role emphasizes delivering quality work efficiently and completing warranty and customer-pay repairs to manufacturer standards.

The ideal candidate has proven flat-rate experience, strong diagnostic skills across multiple vehicle systems, and ASE or manufacturer certifications preferred.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a flat-rate automotive technician.
• Strong diagnostic and repair skills across multiple vehicle systems.
• Willingness to learn, adapt, and take coaching in a fast-paced shop.
• ASE and/or manufacturer certifications preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical requirements.
• Ability to work well in a team and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair vehicles accurately and efficiently.
• Complete warranty and customer-pay repairs to manufacturer standards.
• Perform multi-point inspections and recommend needed repairs.
• Accurately document repair findings and completed work.
• Maintain productivity while delivering high-quality repairs.

What You’ll Do:As a Flat-Rate Automotive Technician, you'll diagnose, repair, and maintain vehicles while producing quality work in a fast-paced dealership environment. We're looking for experienced technicians who take pride in their craftsmanship, work efficiently, and are driven to maximize both quality and productivity.

• Diagnose and repair vehicles accurately and efficiently.

What We’re Looking For

• Proven experience as a flat-rate automotive technician
• Strong diagnostic and repair skills across multiple vehicle systems
• Consistent productivity with a commitment to quality.
• ASE and/or manufacturer certifications preferred.
• Willingness to learn, adapt, and take coaching
• Basic computer literacy
• Ability to work and communicate effectively in a team environment
• Ability to stay focused and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs and perform the physical demands of the role
• Strong work ethic
• Basic mechanical aptitude (schooling or experience a plus)
• Dependable attendance and positive attitude
• Bonus points if you can drive a manual transmission
