Job summary

Stellantis in the United States is seeking an experienced propulsion integration engineer to support the attachment of propulsion systems to vehicle platforms and coordinate cross-functional teams. This role requires collaboration with CCLP, Manufacturing, and planning teams to resolve PRS issues and ensure timely launches.

The candidate will lead the Propulsion System team through Bulletin studies, manage timing and cost at the system level, monitor KPIs, and coordinate production readiness

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience.
  • Design, development, and program management experience in broad powertrain functions and/or vehicle engineering with emphasis on Controls and Calibration.
  • Demonstrated leadership, communication, presentation, and organizational skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications.
  • Understanding Stellantis product development processes, KPI, and gate processes.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal direction.

Responsibilities

  • Support all integration activities of the propulsion system onto the vehicle platform/program and interface for all PRS issues with the CCLP and Manufacturing team.
  • Must be available for off-hour teleconferences and regional travel (Sterling Heights)
  • Coordinate Propulsion System team during Bulletin studies, and interact with Planning and VEMO teams
  • Ensure communication between Propulsion System team and Platforms / Top Hats CVE Teams
  • Support System Chief scenarios with System Table and coordination of Timing & Cost at system level
  • Monitor application plans (hardware/software/calibration) and alignment with development timing
  • Track vehicle KPI during project development and ensure BOM and changes management compliance
  • Oversee build stages and start of production remotely in vehicle plant with on-site Launch Support

Job description

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Support for all integration activities of the propulsion system onto the vehicle platform/program and interface for all PRS related issues to the CCLP and Manufacturing team (cost, timing, program planning, launch support, program resolution, etc.)
  • Must be available for off‑hour teleconferences and regional travel (Sterling Heights)
  • Other responsibilities include:
    • Coordinates Propulsion System team during Bulletin studies phase, interacting with Planning and VEMO teams
    • Ensures communication between the Propulsion System team and Platforms / Top Hats CVE Teams
    • For Programs with an assigned System Chief, the SSTM is part of the System Table, supporting the complete development of the systems consistently with the QCTP targets, addressing the various needs, concerns and expectations with the Vehicle Team
    • For Programs without an assigned System Chief, where the Engine Chief acts as System Chief (Technical lead & overall QCTP coordination through System Table), the SSTM additionally covers Timing & Cost at system level, working with Sub‑System leads
    • Monitors the application plans (hardware and software/calibration) and consistency with the development timing
    • Monitoring and tracking of all vehicle KPI during the project development
    • Coordinates the Propulsion System team in order to meet the BOM and changes management process requirements
    • Oversees, remotely in vehicle plant, build stages and the start of production, supported by the appropriate on‑site Launch Support resource
Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience.
  • Design, development, and program management experience in broad powertrain functions and/or vehicle engineering in any of the following areas: engine, transmission, driveline, packaging, adaptation, controls, or calibration, HEAVY focus on Controls and Calibration
  • Demonstrated high leadership, communication, presentation, and organizational skills
  • Proficient in MS Office applications
  • Demonstrated understanding of the Stellantis product development processes, design validation, Key Process Indicators (KPI), and gate processes
  • Demonstrated team building skills
  • Demonstrated ability to be self‑motivated, and to work with minimal direction (ability to understand and complete next steps without guidance)
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
