Job summary

Bismarck Public Schools is seeking a Sub Bus Driver for the 2026-27 school year to drive for activity trips and routes as needed in Bismarck, ND. This is a pool-based, as-needed position with part-time hours.

The role requires a Class C CDL with passenger endorsement (air brake endorsement recommended), and adherence to DOT standards. Duties include ensuring student safety, reporting issues to the Transportation Supervisor, and maintaining proper records. Immediate start is available.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must have Class C or higher CDL with passenger endorsement.
• Air brake endorsement recommended.
• Must meet current DOT standards.
• Must provide current driving record from North Dakota Motor Vehicle Department.
• Must be able to lift up to 45 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Drive bus on field trips, activity trips, and assigned routes as scheduled.
• Be responsible for passengers’ safety, welfare, discipline, and protection.
• Report any problems or unusual occurrences to the Transportation Supervisor.
• Adhere to all federal, state, local, and school district regulations, including random drug/alcohol testing.
