Job summary

Pro Mach, Inc. in Sarasota, FL is seeking a Sub Assembler. You will assemble components by following blueprints, build manuals and verbal instructions, and prepare parts kits for assembly.

Ideal candidates have 2–4 years of machinery assembly experience, a high school diploma or technical training, and strong math and reading of engineering drawings. You must lift over 25 lbs and maintain good attendance.

Qualifications

  • Must have high school level education and/or technical training.
  • 2–4 years of experience as a machinery assembler.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and general arrangement drawings.
  • Math skills including fractions and decimal equivalents and metric conversions.
  • Strong attention to detail, good dexterity and manual skills.

Responsibilities

  • Receives, reviews and prepares the parts kit for assembly; reviews build manuals with drawings and bill of materials.
  • Reviews instructions for assembly and prepares machine parts for production.
  • Inspects and prepares parts; removes sharp edges as needed and ensures proper fit.
  • Drills, taps, or reams holes in metal using hand tools.
  • Aligns components and attaches with bolts, screws or hardware; uses fixtures for simple assemblies.
  • Assists in testing operation of completed product and participates in quality checks.

As a Sub Assembler, you will assembles components by following engineering blueprints, other written specifications and verbal instructions.**Does this work interest you?*** Receives, reviews and prepares the parts kit for assembly; Reviews build manuals that include drawings and bill of materials; Reviews instructions for assembly; arrange parts and materials for the machine to correspond to sales order specifications.* Inspects and prepares parts; This may involve removing small quantities of metal to reduce sharp edges and/ or to produce close fit between parts.* Drills, taps, or reams holes in metal pieces using hand tools.* Aligns components and attach with bolts, screws or various hardware.* Uses fixtures to assemble simple assemblies.* Assemblies subject to inspection; under supervision of lead assembler.* Tests or assists in testing operation of completed product.**If this sounds like you, we want to connect!*** High School degree or equivalent, Technical degree or training preferred.* 2 to 4 years’ experience as a machinery assembler.* Good interpersonal skills and ability to handle a multi-tasked role and good organizational skills.* Math abilities to include knowledge of fractions and decimal equivalents.
