Job summary

Northwest Alabama Mental Health Center is seeking a Substance Use Tech to support the START program for teenage girls. You will supervise and assist clients with daily activities, help with meals, complete required documentation, and transport clients as needed.

This role requires a high school diploma, a valid driver's license, MAC training, and basic computer skills. Shifts include day, evening, and overnight options with orientation in Marion County, AL.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a high school diploma or GED/high school equivalency certificate.
• Current/valid driver’s license and you must be a minimum age of 21, and have an insurable driving record.
• You will be required to complete MAC (Medication Assistant Certified) training.
• Knowledge of computer software and programs, Word, Outlook and typing.

Responsibilities

• Provide supervision and emergency intervention in a Short-Term Adolescent Residential Treatment program for teenage girls.

*$500 SIGN-ON BONUS* The employee will receive $100 after completing orientation and the remaining $400 after 6 months of employment.

The Substance Use Tech responsibilities include providing effective supervision and emergency intervention in a Short-Term Adolescent Residential Treatment (START) program for teenage girls. As part of a multidisciplinary team, the SU Tech assists clients with daily activities and responsibilities; prepares meals; completes required documentation and services provided accurately and on time; and transports clients as necessary. Contributes to implementation, client safety, and care. This position will be discussed in more depth during the interview.

Pay Rate: $11.00/hr; shift differential pay will be discussed at the interview for overnights and weekends.

Requirements:

• Minimum of a high school diploma or GED/high school equivalency certificate
• Current/valid driver's license and you must be a minimum age of 21, and have an insurable driving record.
• You will be required to complete MAC (Medication Assistant Certified) training.
• Knowledge of computer software and programs, Word, Outlook and typing.
• Employment requires a 5 day paid orientation held in Marion County, AL, Monday-Friday, 8:30a-4p.

Schedule: Full-time and part-time positions available. Shifts are 12 p.m.-8 p.m., 4 p.m.-12 a.m., or 12 a.m.-8 a.m. The days scheduled will vary and will be discussed further during the interview.
