Job summary

SmartStyle Salon is seeking a skilled stylist to deliver high-quality services and an exceptional guest experience in a fast-paced salon environment.

The role requires a current cosmetology or barber license, a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends, and comfort with basic administrative duties and POS systems. You will contribute to a positive guest experience using our proprietary tools and techniques.

Qualifications

• Current cosmetology or barber license as required by state regulations.
• Able to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.
• Tech savvy and capable of handling administrative tasks; may close out the system at day end.
• Must be able to read, write, and perform basic math.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional guest service and quality consultations; perform services requested efficiently and professionally.
• Deliver services such as haircut, color/highlights, waxing and specialty treatments as requested.
• Maintain a clean, organized workstation and adhere to brand tools and techniques.
• Close out the system at end of day and support front-desk operations when needed.

WE’D LOVE TO HEAR FROM YOU IF YOU MEET THESE QUALIFICATIONS

• You have a current cosmetology or barber license as required by state/provincial regulations.
• You can and want to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
• You are tech savvy and can perform administrative tasks. You may be closing out the system at the end of the day.
• You need to know how to read, write, and do basic math.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• You need good eyesight to observe a guest’s hair, including close vision, color vision and ability to adjust focus.
• If you enjoy moving around and staying active you can do that here. You’ll be standing, lifting, and reaching for the stars. You need to be comfortable with lifting, bending, and performing repetitive movements, occasionally lifting 10-25 lbs.
• We use chemicals and fragrances in our treatments which you will smell. You must be ok with fragrances and chemicals.
