Job summary

Nordstrom is seeking a stylish, customer-focused Nordstrom Stylist to build lasting relationships with shoppers in-store and online. You will complete Nordstrom’s training, stay ahead of trends, and participate in digital engagement strategies to grow your styling career.

You will assist customers across departments, leverage social tools, and help maintain a welcoming, organized shopping environment while aiming to meet sales targets and participate in the Nordy Club.

A day in the life…

• Offer confident, honest feedback: Help customers choose pieces that complement their style and add value to their wardrobe.
• Create connections everywhere: Use in-store interactions and digital tools (text, social media, Nordstrom apps) to inspire customers, share curated looks, and keep them engaged.
• Drive results: Grow predictable sales through outreach and appointment-setting during event and non-event periods.
• Be a trusted partner: Follow up after purchases, share new arrivals, invite customers to events, and introduce them to the Nordy Club.
• Keep the experience seamless: Work with others to maintain a clean, organized space that makes every customer feel welcome.

• Physical Requirements:
  • Continuous movement for 6-8 hours per shift, which includes frequent bending, twisting, squatting, flexing and reaching in order to handle merchandise and assist customers.
  • Frequent use of hands for grasping, fine manipulation, pushing and pulling.
  • Handle bulky and sometimes awkwardly shaped items, which includes reaching for and lifting these items above the head.
  • Regularly lift items weighing up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 25 pounds.

Pay Range Details

Pay range(s) as provided in compliance with state specific laws. Pay ranges may be different for other locations. Pay offers are dependent on the location, as well as job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

$13.35 - $13.35 Hourly

At Nordstrom, the commission most selling employees receive varies based on the merchandise they sell. Apparel, shoes, and accessories sales typically range from 3% to 14.5%. The commission Beauty and Men’s Fragrance sales roles typically receive is 3%.
