Job summary

Cato Corporation is seeking an on-set styling specialist to style on-figure apparel and still life products for eCommerce photography. You will prepare apparel on figures and forms, ensure proper fit, and maintain labeling integrity.

Collaborate with the photographer and production team to ensure high-quality images, stay current with fashion trends, and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced studio setting.

Qualifications

• AA, AS or BS degree in fashion design, marketing, merchandising or a related field.
• 2 - 4 years styling experience working in a professional photography studio or on-location.

Responsibilities

• Style apparel on-figure and body forms with attention to fit and tailoring.
• Style product/still life items including accessories, shoes, handbags, jewelry, etc.
• Maintain integrity of sample labeling in styling area.
• Collaborate with the Photographer to maintain quality control of the final images.
• Stay informed on emerging trends in fashion and accessories.
• Assist the Director, Photo Studio & Print Production with development of a style guide.
• Meet deadlines by coordinating with Director, Photographer, Hair & Make-up Artist and Digital Photography Technician.

JOB SUMMARY:

Styling on-figure fashion and still life product for eCommerce photography.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Responsible for styling and prep of all apparel on-figure and body forms with attention to fit and tailoring.
• Styling of all product/still life items including accessories, shoes, handbags, jewelry, etc.
• Responsible for maintaining the integrity of sample labeling in and out of the styling area.
• Collaborate with the Photographer to maintain quality control of the final images.
• Continual attention to emerging trends in fashion and accessories.
• Assist the Director, Photo Studio & Print Production with the development of a style guide.
• Working with the Director, Photo Studio & Print Production, Photographer, Hair & Make-up Artist and Digital Photography Technician to meet all deadlines.

OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Manage special projects as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION:

AA, AS or BS degree in fashion design, marketing, merchandising or a related field.

WORK EXPERIENCE:

2 - 4 years styling experience working in a professional photography studio or on-location.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

• Strong portfolio that demonstrates expertise in applied styling techniques for both on-figure and still-life photography.
• Ability to style in a fast-paced, fashion-driven setting with a variety of models.
• A superb eye for style, visual composition and attention to detail.
