Job summary

MMS is seeking a Strategic Statistician for a full‑time role focused on clinical trial design, consulting, and internal/external SME for statistical services within the Strategic Statistical Services Arm.

The position involves assisting customers with study design using KerusCloud simulations, preparing SAPs and reports, and delivering analyses that meet timelines and quality standards. You will collaborate with sponsors and pre‑sales teams, shaping statistical aspects of KerusCloud.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a quantitative field; Master’s/PhD preferred.
• 5–7 years of statistics experience in pharma/CRO/academic settings.
• Proficiency in SAS and/or R.
• Experience with study design, protocols and reporting.
• Modeling, simulation, and Bayesian design/analysis experience.

Role Overview

Strategic Statistician – full‑time role focusing on clinical trial design, consulting, and internal/external SME for statistical services within MMS’s Strategic Statistical Services Arm.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with study design, focusing on KerusCloud simulation to align with study objectives.
• Prepare study protocols and develop Statistical Analysis Plans and Reports.
• Summarize, analyze, and visualize study data using statistical methods, delivering results within agreed timelines and quality standards.
• Provide statistical consultancy support to sponsors across clinical development, overseeing third‑party statistical and programming deliverables.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of relevant research techniques (modeling, simulation, experimental design) and participate in continuous professional development.
• Support pre‑sales discussions to understand and identify client needs, contribute to technical solutions and resource/cost estimates.
• Collaborate with product development to define key features and statistical aspects of KerusCloud.
• Provide input and support to marketing of KerusCloud, including demonstrations to clients and white papers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, statistics, physics, pharmacology, or a related field with a strong statistical component; Master’s or PhD preferred.
• 5–7 years of experience applying medical statistics in pharma, CRO, or academic settings.
• Willingness to engage with clients to understand and research problems and provide creative, business‑oriented solutions.
• Experience delivering customer projects to high‑quality standards.
• Proficiency in SAS and/or R statistical software packages.
• Experience in study design, protocol and report writing preferred.
• Experience in modeling and simulation techniques for complex study designs preferred.
• Experience with Bayesian approaches to design and analysis of clinical data preferred.
• Experience in early‑phase drug development processes, including innovative/adaptive study designs, preferred.
