Job summary

The University of Utah Huntsman Cancer Institute is seeking a Clinical Research Coordinator (Non-R.N.) to coordinate clinical and research study activities in Salt Lake City. This is a full-time, day-shift role working closely with the Principal Investigator to ensure protocol integrity and accurate data collection.

Qualified applicants will have a bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) and must meet immunization and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required for candidate.
• IRB/CTSA compliance and good communication skills preferred.
• Experience coordinating clinical research activities is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assesses protocol clarity and subject safety; reviews criteria with PI and sponsor.
• Attends meetings; advises on study assignments and timelines.
• Explains and obtains informed consent; documents and maintains source data.
• Determines visit lengths; coordinates facility and equipment availability.
• Reports adverse events; communicates with IRB and sponsor as needed.
• Maintains FDA-compliant documentation and study records.
• Assists with budget negotiation and contract terms.
• May prepare IRB documents and shipment of specimens.
• Performs duties of Clinical Research Assistant as needed.
