Job summary

VASA Fitness is seeking a Studio Team Lead to coach and mentor a team of STUDIO Coaches, ensure safety and effectiveness of sessions, and align coaching with VASA standards.

You'll manage scheduling, staffing, and analyze participation trends to balance business goals with member experience, delivering uplifting, community-focused workouts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science or Kinesiology or equivalent.
• NCCA-accredited certification required (PT or Group Fitness).
• Current CPR/AED certification required.
• 3+ years teaching group fitness or boutique classes or lead coaching roles.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, hire, and develop a high-performing STUDIO Coach team.
• Build on-trend, effective class schedules for members.
• Drive membership growth and retention through consistent classes.
• Meet and exceed monthly STUDIO sales and attendance goals.
• Create a supportive, energetic STUDIO community.

Within our clubs, you'll find VASA's in-house boutique STUDIO experience -- premium small-group spaces offering high-intensity interval training, infrared yoga, and strength training. These spaces deliver results-driven workouts led by expert coaches who motivate, connect, and inspire. The STUDIO Team Lead (STL) is the coach behind the coaches.

This role is a platform for personal and professional growth, where you can ensure members and guests receive an exceptional experience through classes that motivate, UPLIFT, and create community. You'll lead by example, developing and mentoring your team of STUDIO Coaches, ensuring their sessions are safe, effective, and always aligned with VASA's standards. From scheduling and staffing to analyzing participation trends, you'll balance business goals with an unwavering commitment to member experience. Your leadership will help create an environment where every member feels supported, every coach feels valued, and every visit feels like progress.

• COMPENSATION: Pay is $21.00 per hour + Bonus and Commission Opportunities! Class Rates paid at $35.00/hour.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science or Kinesiology OR NCCA-accredited Personal Training Certification or Group Fitness Certification required (if recently expired, you'll have 30 days to renew once hired).
• Recently expired certifications? No problem--you'll have 90 days after hire to renew.
• Current CPR/AED certification required.
• 3+ years of experience teaching group fitness, small group training, or boutique fitness classes (experience in specialty studios preferred).
• Background in coaching, training, or leading teams in fitness or other industries.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• General knowledge of kinesiology, exercise science, and physical fitness.
• Self-motivated, adaptable, and positive mindset.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Passion for fitness, community, and helping people reach their goals.
