Job summary

TEGNA Inc. is seeking a versatile production tech to support studio, control room and remote shoots in a fast-paced local news environment. You will operate cameras and audio, prep on-air content, and assist with live streams and broadcasts across multiple platforms.

The role requires flexibility with shifts, including early mornings, evenings and weekends, and a willingness to learn new IT-based broadcast systems.

Qualifications

• Experience with cameras, audio mixers and equipment.
• Willingness to learn IT-based video production and broadcast systems.
• Basic computer skills; working knowledge of MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Prep studio sets, mics, lighting, monitors for live/prerecorded productions.
• Operate studio and robotic cameras during broadcasts.
• Handle audio operations for newscasts, weather cut‑ins and sports.
• Ingest and prep content for on-air playback; monitor video/audio quality.
• Switch podcasts and online programs using VMix systems.
• Support master control duties for live events and remote productions.
