SHINE Society LLC dba Elektra Cosmetics is hiring a part-time in-person role in New Orleans to support order fulfillment, kit assembly for events, and prep for showroom activities. The position is ideal for a student or anyone balancing commitments, offering steady shifts with consistent days and times each week.

You’ll help with packing online and wholesale orders, decorating the SHINE Studio, and ensuring spaces are clean and organized for ongoing events and seasonal projects.

Part‑time | $12–15/hour | New Orleans | In person Like being part of a creative space and finding ways to make it better? Join our Krewe at Elektra Cosmetics. You'll help get products and event kits ready, prepare customer orders, and bring creative touches to our SHINE Studio and Showroom. This is a great fit for a college student, or anyone balancing other ongoing commitments, who wants a steady part‑time role with the same scheduled days and times each week. We're looking for someone who enjoys pitching in and taking initiative, whether that means putting together a display, organizing supplies, or noticing what needs attention before someone asks. You should be comfortable using a computer for everyday tasks, such as looking up orders, entering information, and finding what you need online. You don't need advanced technical skills, but you should enjoy learning new tools and feel comfortable getting started.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

ROOM TO CONTRIBUTE CREATIVELY

If you enjoy cosmetics, costuming, decorating, or making things, there's room to bring those interests into the work. We'd love someone who notices possibilities, shares ideas, and enjoys helping bring them to life. There's everyday packing and cleaning involved, too. It all contributes to a space where our customers and Krewemates can feel welcome and ready to create.

CONSISTENT SHIFTS, WITH WEEKEND OPTIONS

We'll establish a recurring schedule during hiring, with the same days and times each week. We count on you to work those agreed shifts. We also understand that class schedules and other commitments occasionally change, so adjustments can be discussed and agreed in advance, including between school terms. Interested in working weekends? We'd welcome someone who wants Saturday, Sunday, or both as part of their regular schedule. Tell us which weekend days work for you so we can build them into your established shifts.

FIRST DIBS ON EVENT GIGS

Our Krewe gets the first heads‑up and first opportunity to pick up available paid gigs with our SHINE Specialists. Working in the studio gives you a chance to learn our products, meet the people behind our events, and get involved as opportunities come up.
