Job summary

CADY Studio Manager oversees hourly associates across four studio locations, ensuring an unforgettable Senior portrait experience. The role balances client experience, sales activities, and facility management, driving financial performance and team engagement.

You will lead a sales- and service-oriented team, hire and coach staff, manage staffing budgets, and maintain studio standards. Weekend availability is required, with strong leadership and strong communication across departments.

Job Summary

The CADY Studio Manager oversees hourly associates across four studio locations, ensuring an unforgettable Senior portrait experience. The role balances client experience, sales activities, and facility management, driving financial performance and team engagement.

Top 5 Responsibilities
  • Achieve financial objectives by exceeding sales goals, maintaining an annual budget, scheduling expenditures, analyzing variances, and optimizing profitability.
  • Hire, train, coach, and mentor a sales and service‑oriented team, conducting documented coaching and annual performance reviews.
  • Maintain staff levels and labor hours in accordance with the internal staffing budget.
  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction as evidenced by customer reviews and surveys.
  • Maintain outstanding studio conditions and visual merchandising standards consistent with company policies and compliance.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Regularly report on KPIs including buy ratios, trends, customer reviews, average order revenue, expense management, and profits.
  • Propose innovative ideas to increase market share and customer engagement.
  • Problem‑solve issues from staff or customers and take preventive actions.
  • Partner with other CADY teams to continuously improve customer experience at each touch point.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Job Requirements
  • At least 18 years of age.
  • Pass a satisfactory background check.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
  • Availability to work weekend hours during busy season.
  • Strong leadership skills and business orientation.
  • Team player mentality with willingness to collaborate on ideas and initiatives.
  • Professional demeanor with customers and team members.
  • Knowledge of business systems and ability to learn new platforms.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate verbally in English.
  • Prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
  • Supervise and manage team members.
  • Basic mathematical proficiency (e.g., subtraction).
Experience
  • Previous management of sales/retail/hospitality operations in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Demonstrated critical thinking and adaptability in a retail setting.
  • Proven communication skills with the ability to multitask, prioritize, and delegate while maintaining precision in detail.
  • Experience managing a multi‑faceted team of 10 or more.
Education
  • College preferred.
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
Physical Requirements and Environmental Factors
  • Extended periods of viewing computer screens.
  • Walk or move inside and outside for more than six consecutive hours.
  • Tolerance to significant noise and sensory stimuli (e.g., busy retail environment, camera flashes, music, crowded areas).
  • Move up to 20 lbs.
  • Bend or stoop as needed.
