Job summary

Yunsoo Kim Design Inc. in the Los Angeles area seeks a Principal-Track landscape design leader to guide a studio and shape an established practice.

The role oversees design from concept to construction and maintains client relationships across parks, education, and healthcare projects. You will lead proposals, manage teams, and advance toward Managing Principal responsibilities with long-term ownership potential.

Qualifications

• Leadership in design direction and guiding teams.
• Experience leading client discussions and coordinating consultants.
• Strong track record delivering park, civic, or public-realm projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead landscape design from concept through construction documentation and construction-phase services.
• Direct project teams, manage schedules, staffing, and project delivery.
• Serve as primary client contact, lead meetings and presentations, manage expectations.
• Lead proposals and support business development with relationships to clients, architects, engineers and partners.
• Manage daily studio operations, mentor staff, set expectations for quality and accountability.
