Job summary

Langan is seeking a Studio Leader + Project Landscape Architect / Project Manager to join its collaborative team in Miami, Florida. This role leads planning, design and permitting of landscape architecture and land development projects across waterfront, urban revitalization, and campus environments.

The position offers opportunities to contribute to diverse projects, manage budgets and teams, and collaborate with multi-disciplinary staff in a dynamic office setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Landscape Architecture;
• 8+ years prior related experience;
• Landscape Architecture license in good standing;
• Passion for design excellence and the challenges of creating inspiring places in urban environments;
• Possess creative and exceptional technical skills in AutoCAD, Photoshop, Adobe Creative Suite, Lumion, Illustrator and 3D Modeling;
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, verbal and written communication skills;
• Ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team environment;
• Travel may be required based on business needs and project assignments;
• Position requires work Monday through Friday with occasional evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Assist discipline leadership with the planning, design and permitting of landscape architecture, civil engineering, land development and planning projects;
• Coordinate and work with staff to prepare site work cost estimates, zoning analyses and determine the feasibility of projects based on the analysis of collected data;
• Write and review draft reports, including feasibility studies, proposals, and technical specifications;
• Plan, schedule and develop task and project budgets. Prepare progress reports and draft change orders;
• Perform and manage multiple projects and tasks within specific budgets, schedules, and deadlines. Monitor budgets, schedules, and project timelines. Minimize write-offs by keeping projects on budget;
• Provide direct oversight and management of staff and senior staff for specific project assignments;
• Coach, train and motivate staff;
• Participate in the identification and pursuit of new clients, prepare proposals, develop additional work within an existing project, and attend business development meetings with new and existing clients;
• Remain current on landscape architecture practices, guidelines, regulations, and best management practices and attend internal training to expand knowledge and skills;
• Perform other duties as requested.
