Job summary

Studio Herbage Florist is a floral design studio in Johnstown and Malta, New York, serving the greater Capital Region since 2014 under the creative direction of James Dempsey AIFD.

Why this role exists.

The driver is often the only member of the studio a recipient ever meets. Every arrangement leaves the studio finished; whether it arrives that way, and how the moment of delivery feels, depends on the driver.

What the work is.

Load and deliver arrangements from both studios across the greater Capital Region in the studio vehicle. Plan routes around service times, including early-morning and evening deliveries. Handle every arrangement so it arrives as designed, and confirm each delivery.

Between deliveries.

When not on the road, the driver assists with studio operations as directed, which may include answering phones, helping with flower prep, cleaning the studio, and taking out trash.

What it asks of you.

Work as scheduled, which may include Saturdays and Sundays around major floral holidays and early or late deliveries. Drive in all seasons. Lift and carry 50 pounds repeatedly.

Part-time, about 20 hours a week. Based at 16 N. Perry St, Johnstown, NY 12095, serving both studios. Studio vehicle provided. $16 to $20 an hour, depending on experience.
