The Edge Fitness Clubs LLC is seeking an energetic Group Fitness Instructor to lead engaging classes and motivate members. You will demonstrate techniques, adjust intensity for all levels, and promote attendance by building a connected community before and after sessions.

Expect a role that supports a flexible schedule, teamwork, and ongoing safety. We offer a gym membership, 401k options, and member engagement incentives.

Qualifications

• 6 months experience teaching Group Fitness classes.
• Valid certification in specific formats (Les Mills, Spinning, Zumba, Yoga, etc.).
• Current CPR/AED certification and ability to demonstrate safe techniques.

Responsabilités

• Deliver high quality member experiences through safe, effective classes.

• Create community through positive interactions before and after class.
• Address member concerns and report maintenance needs.

What You'll DO:

• Deliver high quality member experiences through safe, effective and motivational classes.
• Demonstrate proper techniques and form that aligns with class descriptions while modifying intensity for members when necessary.
• Increase attendance through knowledge, skill and emotional connection.
• Willing to teach at least two classes a week.
• Create community through positive interactions before and after class.
• Address member concerns or direct to appropriate club management.
• Report equipment maintenance needs to club management.
• Drive excitement for classes and recruit members to join.
• Secure appropriate substitutes to ensure class coverage, per Edge policies and procedures.
• Maintain a growing social media presence to attract new participants to classes, special events, etc.
• Read staff communications and attend staff meetings on occasion as required.
• Maintain a professional attitude toward responsibilities, fellow instructors, club staff and members.
• Adhere to Group Exercise policies and procedures.
• Support and articulate the Edge Fitness mission statement.
• Maintain a healthy way of life.

What You'll Need:

• 6 months experience teaching Group Fitness classes in a related discipline
• Valid professional fitness certification in specific specialty program formats: Les Mills, Spinning, Zumba, Yoga, Mat Pilates, Barre, etc.
• Nationally accredited Group Fitness Certification or CPT preferred: AFAA, ACE, AAAI, NASM
• Must possess and maintain current CPR/AED certification
• Must be outgoing, energetic and able to perform in front of an audience
• Must have access to regular email and phone communication
• Must have excellent interpersonal skills
• Knowledge of safe exercise techniques and ability to demonstrate them
