Job summary

Atelier Design in New Orleans seeks a Studio Assistant to support drafting, procurement, and marketing for bespoke residential and small-scale projects. This hybrid/remote role offers exposure to every facet of a boutique architecture and interior design studio.

You will help measure and document projects in Revit, source furnishings, prepare client presentations, manage files, and assist with social media and content creation as the team grows.

Qualifications

• Degree or training in interior design or architecture.

• Familiarity with social media and basic marketing.
• Basic design software knowledge (Adobe Creative Suite, Canva) is a plus.

We are a boutique interior design and architecture firm specializing in bespoke residential and small-scale commercial projects. Our studio blends creative vision with a highly collaborative process to craft spaces that are thoughtful, refined, and deeply personal. We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Studio Assistant to support our growing team.

Position Overview

The Studio Assistant / Designer plays a key role in supporting the day-to-day operations of the studio, with responsibilities spanning drafting, procurement, organization, marketing, and design support. This is a growth-oriented position ideal for someone with a background in interior design and / or architecture who is eager to learn the inner workings of a design studio—from measuring existing conditions, to sourcing materials to developing presentations to supporting on social media and marketing.

Key Responsibilities

• Procurement & Studio Operations
  • Assist with the sourcing and procurement of furniture, fixtures, finishes, and materials
  • Write FFE specifications
  • Track and manage orders, deliveries, and vendor communications
  • Organize and maintain the materials library and sample inventory
  • Coordinate with vendors and fabricators for quotes, lead times, and pricing
  • Support the team with general studio organization and administrative tasks
  • Coordinate with vendors, fabricators, and clients
  • Organize studio tasks
• Design & Technical Support
  • Assist in preparing client presentations and design documentation
  • Help maintain project files, schedules, and documentation
  • Support the design team with product research and mood board development
  • Strong knowledge of Revit is required
  • Measure and draw existing conditions of projects in Revit Construction Document
• Support Marketing & Social Media
  • Assist in content creation for social media (Instagram, Pinterest, YouTube, etc.)
  • Draft newsletters, blog posts, or case studies for marketing campaigns
  • Update and maintain website content as needed
  • Organize and archive project photography and assets

Qualifications

• Strong organizational skills and high attention to detail
• Proactive, reliable, and able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Degree, pursuit of a degree, or prior training in interior design or architecture
• Familiarity with social media platforms and basic marketing principles
• Basic design software knowledge (Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, etc.) a plus
• Willingness to learn industry tools, like CSI specifications.
• Skills Strong knowledge of Revit. Photography or content creation skills Knowledge of design industry vendors and materials Self-starter Highly organized
