As a Global Trading new graduate, you will be furnished with a real job from day one, gaining hands‑on experience while developing the foundational skills to build your career in trading. Applicants should designate the track that best matches their interests and capabilities.
Performing fundamental market analysis for your commodity that includes using proprietary and third‑party data to develop actionable market insights of where you see the market evolving and the opportunities for physical and derivative market positions to support commercial decision making by our trading teams. You will be given the opportunity to develop analytical market views to support trading decisions, research, and highlight key market events and monitoring how they affect sentiment.
The Trading Data, Analytics and AI (called "Trading Fusion") team enhances decision‑making across our energy trading desks, including the front and middle office team such as Market Risk, by delivering rapid prototyping and expert support in data engineering, software development, and data science and visualization. You will learn how an agile software development team works, code data pipelines and solve big data problems. You will also get to work with the latest technology in AI and application of that to the trading desks.
Our Trader Development Program (TDP) is a fast paced, competitive program that will enable you to develop the competencies and skills required to become a successful energy trader at ExxonMobil. You will complete multiple trading role rotations to gain crucial experience in operations, risk, and analytics. Throughout your time on the TDP you will receive formal training as well as mentoring and feedback from Senior Traders to further your development. All of this will lead to a formal end of Program assessment. If successful, you will be ready to commence your career as a trader enjoying roles with increasing complexity, responsibility, and market exposure.
