Job summary

PALMER COLLEGE FOUNDATION invites current Palmer College of Chiropractic students to join the Anatomy Lab as Monitors. The role involves supervising Open Lab sessions, ensuring only authorized participants access the lab, and upholding safety and respect for human donors.

Candidates should have completed Gross Anatomy I & II with a B or higher, be dependable and detail-oriented, and be able to work independently while following written and verbal instructions. Training in lab safety is required.

Qualifications

  • Successful completion of Gross Anatomy I & II with a minimum grade of B.
  • Professional, dependable, detail-oriented; able to work independently.
  • Strong communication skills; ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Willingness to complete required laboratory safety training.

Responsibilities

  • Open, supervise, and secure the Anatomy Lab during scheduled Open Lab sessions.
  • Ensure only authorized students enter the laboratory and follow all laboratory policies and safety procedures.
  • Maintain a respectful learning environment that honors human donors.
  • Monitor, track, and properly store anatomical specimens using established chain-of-custody procedures.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe laboratory environment.
  • Assist students in locating approved anatomical resources.
  • Report safety concerns, equipment issues, damaged or missing specimens, and other incidents to supervising faculty.
  • Respond appropriately to emergencies by contacting faculty, Campus Security, or other designated personnel.

***This position is only open to current Palmer College of Chiropractic students***The Anatomy Lab Monitor is responsible for supervising scheduled Open Anatomy Lab sessions and maintaining a safe, respectful, and organized learning environment.
