Job summary

San Diego State University is seeking a part-time Reservations Assistant to support the Aztec Student Union Events team with high-volume customer service and event administration on campus. You will use EMS and campus systems to manage inquiries, bookings, and related documents.

The role emphasizes policy communication, scheduling, and coordination with student clients and university staff. Prior hospitality experience and eligibility to work in the United States are preferred.

Qualifications

  • Hospitality and Tourism Management majors preferred.
  • Students must be enrolled in at least half time units at SDSU (6 undergraduate; 3 graduate).
  • International students must have full-time enrollment at SDSU (12 undergrad; 6 graduate).
  • Must be in good academic standing and eligible to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

  • Assist Events Planners to enforce policies and conduct expectations for customers, students, and staff.
  • Ensure all event documents (Permits, Payments, waivers) are tracked and approved.
  • Maintain EMS reservations, update bookings, and reference past reservations for future events.
  • Assist with billing activities including deposits, payments, and journal entries per policies.
