Job summary

The Bidgee School is seeking a School Learning Support Officer on a full-time basis in Regional NSW, 31 hours 15 minutes per week. The role supports students with identified learning needs in classrooms and other learning environments under a teacher's direction.

Responsibilities include student welfare, health and wellbeing activities, and supporting streams such as pre-school, vision, hearing, and bilingual programs. NSW Department of Education encourages diverse applicants.

Qualifications

• Working with Children Check Clearance
• Mandatory training required by the Department of Education
• Administration of Medications — training to be provided
• Health support training to be provided
• Specific Selection Criteria: teamwork, supporting students with disabilities, communication skills

Responsibilities

• Support students with identified diverse learning needs in classrooms and learning environments under teacher direction
• Provide student welfare, health and wellbeing activities as required
• Support students in streams/settings: pre-school, vision support, hearing support, bilingual
• Work closely with teachers to achieve educational outcomes
