Responsibilities

• Participates in home visits, parent–teacher conferences and other meetings.
• Ensures program continuity when the teacher is absent.
• Monitors students during various phases of the school day.
• Maintains a clean and organized learning environment.
• Prepares instructional materials for classroom lessons.
• Assists with personal care routines (feeding, toileting, hygiene).
• Operates instructional equipment and technology devices.
• Accompanies and supervises students on field trips.
• Produces materials to display educational objectives to class.
• Applies assistive technology for recording student data.
