Job summary

Rivermont Schools is seeking a Mental Health Associate to support students with emotional and behavioral challenges. You will assist with academics, daily living tasks, and social skills across grade levels in a structured environment.

Work closely with teachers, therapists, and families to ensure consistent, individualized care. A compassionate, patient, and resilient approach helps students reach their potential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma (or equivalent) required.
• Basic computer skills including Outlook and Word.
• Strong communication, reading, writing, and documentation.
• Reliable, punctual, adaptable team player.
• Patient, calm, and resilient when supporting escalated students.

Responsibilities

• Assist students with academics, social skills, and daily living needs from elementary through high school.
• Observe behavior, document notes, and share updates with the team to adjust strategies.
• Support self-help skills like toileting, feeding, and hygiene to promote independence.
• Use de-escalation techniques and calming strategies to maintain a supportive environment.
• Partner with teachers, therapists, BCBAs, and parents for consistent, individualized support.
