Job summary

Bob Hope School in Port Arthur, TX, is seeking a Student Support Specialist to provide direct services to students, coordinate mandated assessments, and support the campus 504 coordination and referrals to special education. Qualifications

• Associate’s degree (minimum 60 earned college credit hours).
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Two years of experience in student services or related positions, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct student services.
• Meet regularly with campus admin, teachers, and staff to discuss student services.
• Coordinate testing and assessments with district teams.
• Serve as 504 coordinator and assist with referrals to special education.
• Plan and coordinate campus testing and training for staff.
• Maintain testing documentation and data files.
• Assist in developing campus master schedule.
• Collaborate with parents to obtain resources for students.
