Job summary

Clear Creek ISD is seeking an Aide for In-School Suspension (ISS) for the 2026-2027 school year in Houston. The role supports teachers by preparing instructional materials, guiding individual or small group activities, and reinforcing behavior plans within an orderly learning environment.

The successful candidate will have a high school diploma or GED, Educational Aide I Certification, and basic computer/typing skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Educational Aide I Certification required.
• 15 college hours or passing score on Paraprofessional Exam required.

Responsibilities

• Assist the teacher in preparing instructional materials and displays.
• Work with individual students or small groups as directed by the teacher.
• Reinforce behavior plans and assist in classroom discipline as needed.
• Keep the teacher informed of any special needs or problems.
• Supervise students inside and outside the classroom as required.
• Assist in inventory, care, and maintenance of equipment.
• Maintain administrative records and required reports.
• Assist in adapting teaching materials to meet student needs.
• Participate in staff trainings and team meetings.
• Type materials, make copies, take attendance, and file reports.
