Job summary

School of Science and Technology is seeking a Teacher Assistant to support teachers in helping students achieve academic goals. The role includes small-group instruction, behavior support, and supervision during meals and activities.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED, with 48 college hours preferred, and prior experience working with children is a plus. This is a full-time on-site role aligned with standard school hours.

Qualifications

  • Ability to communicate effectively in writing and speaking with all levels of staff.
  • Ability to build and maintain productive working relationships.
  • Ability to organize and coordinate campus programs and events.
  • Proficient with basic computer software and data entry.
  • Ability to analyze data and support reporting tasks.
  • Ability to apply effective interviewing and public speaking skills.

Responsibilities

  • Assist teachers with student goals by working with small groups or individuals.
  • Support classroom management and behavior plans to create a conducive learning environment.
  • Supervise students during breakfast, recess, lunch, dismissal, events, and programs.
  • Assist with ARD/IEP paperwork preparation and data entry for special education reports.
  • Assist with planning and implementing differentiated instruction for individuals or groups.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
