Job summary

Charter Schools USA (CSUSA) in the United States seeks a Dean of Students to lead elective course development, after-school college prep programs, and parent involvement networks while ensuring student safety and well-being.

You will support the principal in policy implementation, oversee classroom instruction, and coach teachers to improve outcomes in a fast-growing educational system.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in education or equivalent preferred.
• Teaching certification (as appropriate).
• Professional Certification in Educational Leadership for applicable state preferred.
• Minimum of 1–3 years' successful teaching experience (may include Student Teaching Internship).
• Equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Proficient experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), SIS and email communications.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work with diverse stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Ensures teachers are organized, manage time well and cover proper curriculum per mandates.
• Conducts observations and provides feedback to Principal.
• Observes and evaluates instruction and supports planning of教 learning.
• Works with leadership to set school goals and analyze data from assessments.
• Supervises disciplinary processes and supports student well-being.
• Provides professional development and coaching on evidence-based instructional strategies.
• Coordinates schedules and ensures coverage of specialist teachers.
