Beloit College is seeking an Academic Support Advisor to oversee budgeting, advising, and student services for the SEL program. The ASA will handle financial administration, data reporting, and grant-related tasks, ensuring alignment with Department of Education guidelines and Beloit College policies.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or an Associate's degree with 3-5 years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience with SSS or projects aimed at low-income, first-generation, and/or disadvantaged students.
  • Financial administration, budgeting, and data reporting experience.
  • Experience in student retention programming and academic advising or counseling.
  • Knowledge of federal grants, laws, and regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Inform campus community about SSS/SEL objectives and opportunities via promotional materials.
  • Develop and manage Summer Institute and other academic programming components.
  • Lead Sophomore Impact Institute and PAC Institute.
  • Manage the Student Office Assistant Team (10-15 students) including recruitment and supervision.
  • Collaborate with faculty and student services to promote SEL and coordinate campus services.
  • Analyze data and prepare reports; coordinate on- and off-campus events.
  • Provide academic, personal, and financial literacy support to assigned caseload.
  • Support grant-funded proposals and monitor outcomes.
