Job summary

Wilson County Schools is seeking a Teacher Assistant/Bus Driver for Stantonsburg Elementary in Stantonsburg, NC. This 10-month, permanent position reports to the Teacher and Principal and requires dual duties in the classroom and on the bus.

The role entails assisting in lesson delivery, material preparation, and supervision to ensure a safe learning environment, with bus transportation duties when called upon.

Qualifications

• Associate degree preferred or 48 college credits.
• Must be 18 years of age.
• Must obtain valid commercial driver's license with passenger and bus endorsement in NC.
• Commercial Driver’s License with P and S Endorsement required for bus driving.

Responsibilities

• Cooperates in developing classroom procedures.
• Assists in material preparation.
• Maintains awareness of supervising teachers' goals/objectives.
• Assists in implementing the planned program.
• Provides information on program evaluation to teachers.
• Participates in activities to improve the total school program.
• Supervises students to ensure safety and health.
