Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required and experience advising undergraduates.
  • Experience supporting student success, retention, admissions, or similar.
  • Ability to manage confidential information with discretion.
  • Proficiency with office tech and advising/web content systems.
  • Ability to support access, belonging, and student success for diverse students.
  • Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication.
  • Strong organization, time management, and problem-solving.

Responsibilities

  • Provide developmental academic advising to CS and IT students.
  • Help students develop academic plans addressing Gen Ed, major, progression.
  • Participate in orientation and transfer advising.
  • Monitor progress, conduct proactive outreach, and connect to resources.
  • Support students on probation or with academic difficulties.
  • Coordinate the IT Ambassador Program, onboarding and scheduling.
  • Plan outreach campaigns and visits for prospective students.
  • Identify recruiting events and maintain current content.
  • Organize welcome and retention activities for new and continuing students.
  • Maintain confidential records and contribute to annual assessment.
  • Collaborate with department leadership, Admissions, Registrar, and campus partners.
