The Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Sciences (EECS) is the largest department on the Berkeley campus, with over 130 faculty and staff members, 3,600+ undergraduates, 800+ graduate students, and an annual operating budget of $40+ million. EECS offers programs in Artificial Intelligence, Computational Biology, Databases, Graphics, Human‑Computer Interaction, Operating Systems, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, and many more.
Reporting to the Assistant Director of Undergraduate Affairs, the Student Services Assistant (SSA) performs a wide range of student services duties. The role includes academic advising, recruitment, admissions, policy work, program oversight, and professional development.
The university is required to provide a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. The budgeted salary or hourly range is $74,700 – $103,800. This position is covered by the collective bargaining agreement between UAW and the University of California Regents.
