Job summary

IDEA Public Schools in Austin is seeking a part-time School Monitor to ensure student safety through vigilant supervision during before/after school and lunch/recess. The role carries an hourly rate of $12.00 and requires a High School Diploma or GED, with preference for experience working with students.

You will support classroom and cafeteria flow, maintain order, and collaborate with staff to promote a positive school environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide a safe and orderly environment for students.
• Monitors students during bus drop off, arrival, and after school.
• Monitors halls during student arrival and during lunch.
• Maintain assigned lunch schedule for all grade levels without delay.
• Supervise and assist students through serving line to ensure lunch periods stay on schedule.
• Supervise lunchroom to maintain orderly conduct.
• Supervise students during recess and rotate through the lunchroom at scheduled times.
• Assist with general food needs and cafeteria cleanliness.
• Support student behavior management and report concerns to administration.
• Perform related duties as required.
