Student Research Assistant - German at Inside Higher Ed
Position Overview: The Speech in Little Bilinguals Lab (SLBL) at KU seeks a student hourly research assistant for an on‑campus position starting Spring 2026. The SLBL researches speech and language development of 3‑6 year old German‑English bilingual children. This role is ideal for students wanting hands‑on research experience while using German language skills.
During the semester term of the appointment, the student hourly must be enrolled in at least 6 credit hours. For summer periods the student hourly must have been enrolled in no less than 6 hours in the past spring semester or be pre‑enrolled in the upcoming fall semester in at least 6 hours or be enrolled in a summer session or be admitted to study in the upcoming fall semester. Student Hourlies may be undergraduate or graduate students. (Exceptions granted for GRA/GTA/GA appointments do not apply to Student Hourly appointments).
Student employees are not eligible for remote work arrangements unless an exception is approved by unit leadership and HR.
