Job summary

Eastern Kentucky University is seeking a Student Laboratory Technician to assist in Dr. Green’s food insecurity study on the Richmond Campus.

The student will recruit participants, conduct interviews, and gain training in research ethics and methods. They will learn data analysis and presentation, and present preliminary results at EKU’s University Presentation Showcase, with opportunities to share findings at additional conferences in Fall 2026.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled at EKU.
• Visa sponsorship considered case-by-case depending on unit needs and qualifications.
• Completion of confidentiality, data safety & security trainings may be required.

Responsibilities

• Recruit research participants and conduct interviews for the food insecurity study.
• Gain training in research ethics, research methods, data analysis, and data presentation.
• Present preliminary results at EKU’s University Presentation Showcase and possibly at other conferences.
