Sentara Northern Virginia Medical Center in Woodbridge, VA seeks a Radiology Technologist Student Extern for a flexi, rotating shift. You will perform chest, abdominal, extremity, and spine radiographic imaging under direct supervision, operate equipment, and assist with film development and patient prep.

Clinical support duties include IV lines and basic lab work, with supervision by a registered Radiologic Technologist. BLS and IV Therapy certifications are required within 90 days of hire.

Qualifications

• BLS certification within 90 days of hire.
• IV Therapy Certification within 90 days of hire.
• 2 ARRT-accredited semesters completed for student externs.
• Non-student tech roles require 2 years of patient care management experience.
• Knowledge of clinical documentation and patient care procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform chest, abdominal, extremity, and spine radiological imaging studies under supervision.
• Operate radiology equipment, develop films, and prepare patient room and equipment.
• Provide clinical support including IV lines and basic lab tasks.
• Complete clinical documentation as required by radiology department.
