The University of North Georgia on the Gainesville campus is seeking a Student Projectionist- Institutional Student Worker. This part-time role involves 4-5 screenings per semester, each screening taking about four hours including setup, film screening, Q&A, and shutdown, with training provided.

The position is ideal for a Film & Digital Media major, but all majors are welcome. Training will be provided and campus facilities will support your involvement with Hawk Programming Board and film

Job Summary

The University of North Georgia is accepting applications for a Student Projectionist- Institutional Student Worker, on the Gainesville campus. The student projectionist will be responsible for 4-5 screenings per semester, each screening taking about 4 hours of work, including setup, film screening, Q&A, and shut down. The projectionist will be trained on handling equipment (operating digital touchscreen, sound system, mics), running screenings (timing, managing house lights, audio levels, shifting between formats), and troubleshooting technical glitches. Ideally, the student projectionist will also be interested in film programming as part of the Hawk Programming Board and being involved in film introductions and/or Q&A sessions. This is a great opportunity for a Film & Digital Media major, but we welcome all majors to apply. Training will be provided.
