Job summary

Lackawanna College invites applications for a full-time POS/CTE Advisor. This hybrid role requires in-person attendance and up to 50% travel, with residency within commutable distance to Scranton or satellite centers.

You will develop partnerships with secondary districts, assist student matriculation to postsecondary credits, and coordinate freshman scheduling for POS and CTE programs. A Bachelor's degree is required; 1 year recruiting experience is preferred. Deadline Aug 28, 2026.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in related field required.
• 1 year recruiting experience preferred.
• Full-time, Perkins grant-funded position with hybrid attendance and up to 50% travel.

Responsibilities

• Develop/expand relationships between secondary districts and Lackawanna College.
• Improve matriculation and success by coordinating between secondary and postsecondary institutions.
• Formalize articulation agreements for a seamless program of study.
• Work with area schools on career awareness and disseminate job market information.
• Maintain records of school contacts, interviews and student placements.
• Serve as academic advisor and coordinate freshman scheduling for POS & CTE.
• Attend job fairs and school career events; participate in curriculum activities.
• Collaborate with POS/CTE recruiters to ensure cross-location advising.
• Maintain biweekly activity logs.
